Happy belated Thanksgiving!!! I hope you had a great day & enjoyed some time with loved ones. In honor of Thanksgiving, I wanted to give you a little peak into my favorite Thanksgiving decor – the table settings. Here are some of my favorite table touches I’ve seen online…

However, with an adorable but small dining area and a few other challenges in the beachy bliss apartment, I knew I had to be careful about how I planned our turkey dinner when my in-laws planned a trip to Santa Monica for Thanksgiving. I didn’t have enough plates or silverware for everyone (still in the process of stocking the apartment!) and I also wanted to make-sure the clean up wasn’t too hectic (we don’t have a dishwasher). The solution to all of my troubles was AMAZING disposable dinnerware!
When I think of paper plates, I used to think of corny plates that say happy birthday or have flowers plastered all over them and are flimsy to the touch. But, as I found out, there are SO many more options.
Can you believe EVERYTHING in those pictures is disposable!? In more detail…
The first picture is of some great plastic-ware from TJ Maxx. It completely changed my perspective on disposable plates – they’re just gorgeous… and are incredibly sturdy!
The gold chargers in the middle picture are made from a very thick paper. They can definitely be re-used (and I plan on it), but they can also be tossed away if they get dirty or ruined. My mom originally spotted them, in both silver and gold, at TJ Maxx – but Amazon also has them available in both colors (affiliate links) – here & here. The plates on them are more plastic-ware.
Michael Aram makes some of the most gorgeous homegoods, and I was ecstatic when I saw that he also made plastic “silverware” options (last picture). Again, they can be washed & re-used or trashed. They are of course available through Amazon (affiliate link).
Thanks so much for reading along!
