Hey there! First, I’m really sorry for the slow posting schedule lately. Life has gotten really busy and although it’s been all great things keeping me busy, it means that it has been really hard to find time for the blog. Thanks for sticking around, I have some fun projects planned to share soon!
I am posting today because I saw something on Facebook that I could not resist sharing… champagne has incredible benefits for our health and our bodies… who knew!? Aside from already being sparkly, bubbly, and scrumptious, there are (potential) benefits from our fave champs!
For instance, Town & Country recently reported that drinking 3 glasses of champagne a day (they’re not joking around!) showed signs of preventing dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Even if you don’t have dementia or Alzheimer’s, a little bubbly may be able still help your memory. As reported here by the New York Post, after consuming champagne for 6 weeks, rats were more successful in a maze than those who hadn’t consumed the champagne!
Switching gears slightly, if you’re watching your waistline, Greatist.com reported that champagne on average has 10 less calories that alternative choices such as red wine and sweet wine. Plus, because we drink champagne out of smaller glasses, most people tend to drink less champagne than wine (present company clearly excluded), leading to less calories.
Finally, Health Magazine reported that a concoction including champagne can help tighten your skin if you put it in your bath water. I can’t decide if this is the best or worst use of champagne ever! You can read more here.
Well – if I didn’t already love champagne – this definitely has sealed the deal 😉 Thanks for reading along!
